CHORAL AND VOCAL DIRECTOR

Stephanie is an experienced and dedicated choral conductor. Stephanie was the Vocal Director for St Margaret's Anglican Girls School's production of "Strictly Ballroom: The Musical" (2023) and "The Addams Family" (2019) performed at LaBoite Roundhouse Theatre, together with vocal directing St Margaret's production of "Matilda: The Musical" in March 2021. She has been the Choral Director for the school's larger non-auditioned choirs in both the Middle School and Senior School together with an auditioned smaller Middle School Chamber Choir since 2019.

Stephanie's philosophy is centred around all human beings being given the opportunity to sing and this can start in a choir. She focusses on contemporary arrangements and keeps her ensembles enjoyable, accessible and educational. Stephanie has been the vocal director for the jazz and contemporary voice recitals at Young Conservatorium since 2011. 

Stephanie regularly attends vocal pedagogy and choral pedagogy professional development conferences, mostly recently she attended the Australian National Choral Association conference "Body, Mind, Soul, Song" 2023.  

QUALIFICATIONS

Stephanie holds a Masters of Music Studies (Advanced Performance/Pedagogy), Graduate Diploma of Music Studies (Vocal Pedagogy) and a Bachelor of Music (Jazz Voice) from the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University. Stephanie has completed in Levels I, II and III of Somatic Voicework: The LoVetri™ Method from Baldwin Wallace University, Ohio, USA.

She reviewed all three levels of the Somatic Voicework: The LoVetri™ Method at University of Southern Queensland, Toowomba in 2019. 

Stephanie holds a current Queensland Blue Card to work with children and young people.
